Macleod Dental was founded by Dr. Peter Pleunik in 1992 and has grown into one of the area’s most trusted dental practices. From routine check-ups to complex full-mouth rehabilitations, we treat every patient with the same commitment to quality, honesty, and care.
As a specialist prosthodontist with over 40 years of clinical experience, Dr. Pleunik brings a depth of expertise rarely found outside major city centres — available right here in Macleod.

Prosthodontist & Principal Dentist
Dr. Pleunik founded Macleod Dental in 1992 after serving as Officer Commanding the Puckapunyal Army Dental Unit and lecturing at Melbourne University for nearly two decades. He holds five dental qualifications including a Masters of Dental Science and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Anne-Marie is the heart of the practice — keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring every patient feels welcomed and well-looked after. Her dual role as Senior Nurse and Practice Manager means she brings both clinical expertise and organisational care to every interaction.

Dr. Pleunik’s specialist prosthodontic training means complex cases — implants, full-mouth rehabilitation, TMJ — are handled in-house by someone who has done it for decades.
Dr. Peter Pleunik
After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 1979, Dr. Pleunik pursued an exceptional path of further study and clinical service. He was commissioned as an army dental officer, eventually commanding the Puckapunyal Dental Unit — where he was promoted to Major.
He went on to complete a Fellowship and later a Masters of Dental Science with a special stream in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne, followed by Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2003.
From 1986 to 2005, he was a Lecturer and Clinical Demonstrator at Melbourne University, teaching the next generation of dentists in fixed, removable, and implant dentistry.
